Scam Warning

The Australian Taxation Office have seen an increase in the number of SMS and email scams currently circulating due to tax time.

These SMS and emails contain a link which recipients are encouraged to click on. In doing so, they are directed to a fake myGov login page in order for the scammer to obtain their secure login details.

You should always login to ATO online services through the ATO website, and never by clicking a link in an email or a SMS.

For more detailed information regarding these recent scam warnings or to report a scam, go to https://www.ato.gov.au/general/online-services/identity-security-and-scams/scam-alerts/.
